Here, at Kim Sharper Studio, we like to make things easy for our clients.  Our graphic design and production process, is simple as pie — just  tell us what your looking for and we’ll start by giving you some options.  Here’s an example of seven invitation drafts that we submitted to a client:

Once our client gave us feedback as to which direction to take, we finalized the design to perfect their invitation, and designed programs and banners to coordinate with their theme.  Here’s the final:

Why, oh why do I continue to do this to myself?  When I have a long list of to-do’s, and while I should be focused on many, many other things, I have instead decided that I am going to open an Etsy shop.  And, to me the Etsy shop is quite the priority; after-all, any way to stylize the world and make it a more beautiful place should be high on the agenda, right?

Alas, my Etsy shop, Kim Sharper, which, as of now, will offer luxe paper goods, such as cards and fashionable gift boxes (great for wedding and event favors!) The shop will debut early this week, but here is a sneak peak of some of the goodies:

Feel free to stop by and see what’s in store this week . . . http://www.etsy.com/shop/KimSharper?ref=pr_shop

it’s a wrap

While Christmas 2010 is ova, its spirit lives on.

I really enjoyed making stylish gift cards and gift boxes to encase the small gifts that I bought for a few of my nearest and dearest.

Slowly but surely I’m getting into the holiday spirit.  It’s surprising that I am getting in the mood this early since I’m not really a festive person.

This past weekend, I had to accept the fact that I have only my mom’s house to decorate for the holidays this year, since I am a nomad and will be moving again in February.  . . this time to Switzerland. While we were in the garage pulling decorations, I saw my chairs that I completely forgot about and decided to bring them in the house.

A while back I found the chairs on Craigslist for $25.  Here’s the picture from the Craigslist ad –

Yes . . . I know they don’t have any seats, but I really saw the potential in them!  They have lovely curves . . . so I jumped on the deal.

My initial plan was to sand and paint them, send them off to a local upholsterer to get seats and cushions made, and then sell them.  Welp . . .  I did everything but sell them.  I painted the frames black, and purchased a beautiful gold and aubergine iridescent shantung silk with a damask pattern.  Here’s the final result –

See, aren’t they too cute to sell? Here are more pictures . . .

And while we’re at it, here are pictures of some of the holiday decor-

I don’t have any pictures of the tree, because it’s not up yet.  I was hoping for a gold flocked Christmas tree, but it looks like I’ll have to settle for the artificial tree in my mom’s garage : )  Maybe I’ll post a few pics when up.

For now, Merry Christmas to all and Happy Holiday Decorating!
